How It Works

From request to handover in three steps

Whether a business tenders a sealed-bid RFQ or rents directly from a verified fleet, and whether you are booking vehicles or supplying them, every contract runs through the same verification, escrow and PIN-confirmed handover.

How It Works

Three steps on each side of the contract

Whether a contract starts as a sealed-bid RFQ or a direct rental request, it ends the same way: one contract, escrow, and a PIN-confirmed handover.

For businesses

01

Post an RFQ, or pick vehicles directly

Describe the need (vehicle class, quantity, term, location) and open it to sealed bids. Or browse verified fleets and send a direct rental request for the exact vehicles you want.

02

Sealed bids arrive, or the provider confirms

For an RFQ, verified providers submit sealed prices. You see each bid's price, trust score and tier, but no names until you award. For a direct request, the provider accepts, proposes changes or declines.

03

Award, escrow locks, PIN handover

The contract is created and your payment is held in escrow. At handover a 6-digit PIN confirms the vehicle arrived as agreed. Only then is the money released to the provider.

For providers

01

Register and get verified

Submit business registration, identity, vehicle ownership, insurance and licensing documents. We review them before you can list vehicles or bid. One-time setup.

02

Demand comes to you

Open RFQs that match your fleet appear in your dashboard for sealed bidding. Businesses that already know what they want send you direct rental requests to accept or decline.

03

Deliver, confirm with PIN, get paid from escrow

Hand over the vehicle, enter the PIN with the business, and the escrowed funds are released to your wallet and settled on the platform's cycle. No chasing invoices.

Trust & Security

Built on a foundation of trust

Every layer of Anqelba Car Rental is designed so that businesses can procure confidently and providers can get paid fairly.

KYB / KYC Verification

Every business and provider is identity-verified before they can transact on Anqelba Car Rental. Providers also prove vehicle ownership, insurance and licensing. No anonymous bidding, ever.

Verified Identity

Escrow Payment Protection

Funds are held in escrow and released only when a 6-digit PIN confirms handover, then settled through a double-entry ledger. The business keeps control until the vehicle arrives.

Funds Protected

Blind Bid Integrity

Sealed bids prevent collusion. No provider sees competitor pricing during the active bidding window.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Anqelba Car Rental is a B2B vehicle rental marketplace based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Businesses, NGOs and government agencies source vehicles from KYB-verified providers either through sealed-bid RFQs or by renting directly. Every contract is escrow-protected and confirmed by a PIN at handover.

Any registered business, NGO or government agency that needs vehicles can register as a business. Providers must be registered companies or individuals with vehicles they own, and must pass identity, business, vehicle ownership, insurance and licensing verification before they can list or bid.

An RFQ (request for quotation) is a tender: you describe the need and verified providers submit sealed bids that you compare and award. A direct rental is for when you already know the vehicle you want: you browse verified fleets, send a request for specific vehicles, and the provider confirms. Both end in the same contract, escrow and PIN handover.

Providers cannot see each other's prices, and you see each bid's price, trust score and tier but not the provider's name until you award. Blind bidding is always on; it cannot be switched off. You can award a request to one provider or split it across several.

Yes. When a contract is created your payment is held in escrow. It is released to the provider only after a 6-digit PIN, generated for that contract, is entered at handover to confirm the vehicle arrived as agreed. If a provider does not deliver, the money does not move.

No. Requests can be short term (up to 30 days) or long term, and a single day is fine. You can post a one-off request, run a recurring contract, or rent directly for a specific date range.

No. Posting an RFQ or sending a direct rental request is free for businesses. There is no subscription and no listing fee. The platform earns a commission from the provider on each completed contract.

The business pays into escrow before the vehicle moves. After the handover PIN is confirmed, the escrowed amount less the platform commission is released to the provider's wallet and settled on the platform's settlement cycle. Withdrawals go through the integrated Ethiopian payment rails.

Two ways. Open RFQs that match your fleet appear in your dashboard for sealed bidding, and businesses that already know what they want can send you direct rental requests for your listed vehicles, which you accept, amend or decline.

Commission is charged only to the provider, only on completed contracts, and is tiered: it steps down as your trust score and tier rise. There is no subscription or listing fee. Current rates are shown inside the provider dashboard.

Every provider passes business, identity, vehicle ownership, insurance and licensing verification before they can list or bid. Each provider also carries a trust score and tier that you see beside every bid, based on verification and on completion, on-time and no-show history.

Sedans, SUVs, minibuses, pickups and other commercial vehicles, depending on which verified providers have listed them. Availability grows as more providers are onboarded.

We are launching in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia first. Other Ethiopian cities will follow once Addis is running well. If you are outside Addis you can still register, and we will let you know when your area opens.
